UPDATE: Not so fast. State Attorney General Kamala Harris is looking to shut down foie gras again in California.

And lo, there was much rejoicing. A U.S. District Court ruled today that the law banning imported foie gras from being served in restaurants goes too far. The decision, then, makes serving foie from other states legal in California, effective immediately.

It's not clear whether there's more legal wrangling in the future, or if the law could go back into effect. But for now, chefs are clearly thrilled, may of them weighing in on Twitter. Here are some of our favorite reactions to the news:
