Steve Ellison, a.k.a. Flying Lotus, has been in a giving mood of late. Of course, we shouldn't be surprised considering the man just made a cool grand (plus), selling a used piece of gear on eBay — autographed, but used. Nevertheless, FlyLo has since been offering up via his MySpace a series of things just as one-of-a-kind, but able to be enjoyed by all, and for free. Over the past week, Ellison has posted five new unreleased tracks, and they're pretty fuerte.

Low-key thumper “Data Entry,” the percussive “Prince,” trancey “Gripppit” and the sedate “Lullaby” all bear plenty of promise for what's to come on the next FlyLo record, reportedly out early 2010, but best off all is dude's mega-druggy take on Lil Wayne's “I Feel Like Dying.”

Listen to all of those here, and while on the man's page, be sure to read his January screed on using the hardcore psychedelic dimethyltryptamine (the blog post titled “DMT n ME”) — it goes a long way to explaining how anyone could out-fry Weezy on the trippiest song of 2007.

And just for fun, here's that Flying Lotus / Burial collabo clip again:
