Former Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav is tackling his newest challenge: the fast food industry. The reality TV star and romance guru today launched the first outpost of Flav's Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa (no idea; and no, he's not secretly an alum of the Iowa Writers' Workshop), and he already has Colonel Sanders in his sights.

The gold-grilled goofball, known more in recent years for his self-parodying antics than for his hardcore rhymes, plans to expand the fried chicken eatery into a nationwide chain, reports Contact Music.

'I always said to myself, 'Colonel Sanders, you better watch out. Your boy Flavor Flav is coming and you better watch out.'”

Flav's so committed to making it a success, he swears he'll even man the deep fryers himself. Let's hope the flavor of his chicken leaves us feeling slightly less dirty than “Flavor of Love.”
