Those towering cumulus clouds to the east? They're pregnant with precipitation, and the National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a “flash flood alert.” The areas affected are the southeastern Antelope Valley and the San Gabriel Mountains, including the communities of Big Pines, Pearblossom, Littlerock and Llano. Rain could come down at a rate of more than two inches per hour, according to the NWS: A strong Thunderstorm was being tracked in the southeastern Antelope Valley.
