It looks like an April opening date for Fishing with Dynamite, David LeFevre's seafood restaurant in Manhattan Beach. The restaurant hasn't yet given an exact date, but confirms that doors will open by the end of the month.

The diminutive restaurant — it's 1,100 square feet and will seat only 36 guests — is meant to evoke the East Coast seafood shacks LeFevre grew up eating at, and the food is an homage to that style of dining as well. But the Manhattan Beach Post chef will be throwing in some of his own creativity as well.

The menu will be divided into “old school” and “new school” dishes, with the old school covering chowder, crab cakes and the like, and the new school taking on a more global and new American vibe with dishes such as miso Alaskan black cod with gingered eggplant and Thai basil. There will also be a raw bar serving seafood towers.

Fishing with Dynamite will be open daily for dinner with a plans for lunch service beginning at some point in the future. We'll keep you updated on an opening date as the info becomes available.
