First We Feast is partnering with food culture agency Care of Chan to bring a mix of more than 20 L.A. and Long Beach vendors to the fifth annual ComplexCon. The event returns to the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7. The “First We Feast Lagoon” will give attendees the chance to eat their way through ComplexCon with culinary delights from established and iconic restaurants to innovative and up-and-coming chefs, all under one roof.

While experiencing the premier retail, music, art and cultural experience that is ComplexCon, fans can simultaneously experience the latest cult-favorite restaurants and food vendors through the First We Feast food experience. Some of the weekend’s activations include:

    • The First We Feast show, Hot Ones, is offering the world’s first bite of the Hot Ones Boneless Chicken Bites, available in select Walmart stores across the nation starting 11/8. Fans will be able to live the show with a tasting of the chicken bites accompanied by the official Hot Ones sauces.
    • First We Feast’s Burger Scholar Sessions will have a special menu item prepared by George Motz
    • Sweet Chick, the New American Comfort restaurant from Brooklyn, will unveil their latest footwear collab with the iconic Clarks shoe brand. ComplexCon attendees will be the first to shop the drop, all while enjoying a plate of chicken and waffles on the side.
    • Beleaf Burgers, the 100% vegan fast food restaurant, is bringing in a special plant-based collab with Trill Burger, founded by Houston rap legend Bun B. The artist himself will be on-site serving fresh vegan burgers off the grill.
    • Sesame Dinette, the new Long Beach restaurant from L.A. Chinatown’s superette, is working with Vietnamese-American chef and Tik Tok food star Tway Nguyen for an exclusive menu, only available for the weekend.
    • Petite Peso, the DTLA Filipino restaurant that opened during the beginning of the pandemic, will be serving Filipino spaghetti and fried chicken, BBQ sticks, and a special Halo Halo ice cream dessert made in partnership with Wanderlust Creamery.

Leading up to the festival, Sweet Chick and Clarks Originals are debuting a waffle-wrapped food truck throughout Los Angeles and serving up ice cream in waffle cones, a chance to win tickets to ComplexCon and collectibles. Part of The Wafflebee Collection, the limited edition collectibles include items like a Wafflebee candle, a mini waffle maker, a butter knife, and a Chicken-themed kitchen timer.
