Police report that the first wife of Wall of Sound music producer Phil is missing from her Valley Glen home. Spector was convicted in May of the second-degree murder of actress Lana Clarkson and is facing 18 years to life in prison. Annette Merar, who, like Spector before her, attended Fairfax High School, became a singer in his group, Spector's Three. (She is not to be confused with Annette Kleinbard, another Fairfax acquaintance of Spector's, who sang in his band the Teddy Bears.) Merar bore the couple a son, Damien, but their marriage ended when Spector began a romance with singer Ronnie Bennett of the Ronnettes.

ABC Channel 7 reports that Merar, 65, went missing Friday and is diabetic. “Family members told the TV station Merar may exhibit 'possible confusion,'” according to the ABC report, carried by the L.A. Daily News.
