There's a Burgers & Beer flash sale on tickets for the next two days. Seems like a good time to start planning your burger and beer bacchanal: General admission to the July 30 party can be yours for $37.50 if you buy your ticket before Friday. That's a pretty sweet deal for access to 30 restaurants and 30 beer vendors.

Every burger there is at the top of its game (that's why it was chosen for this festival), but here are four in particular to look out for:

Vaka Burger
This relatively new restaurant seemed to come out of nowhere, turning a truck into a Boyle Heights brick-and-mortar and instantly attracting food-nerd attention. The owners are proud locals, serving grass-fed beef with preservative-free sauces while being completely free of pretension.

Button Mash
This restaurant lives in a video game arcade, but with the Starry Kitchen team cooking the food, it's a safe bet that the menu is not an afterthought. A highlight is the burger (pictured above). Here's hoping they bring a mini version of that charred beauty to the party Saturday.

Barrel & Ashes
One of the pioneers of L.A.'s current nouveau barbecue scene, this Studio City restaurant is perhaps not “authentic” (whatever that means), but it is delicious. Its offering probably will be saucy.

Hawkins House of Burgers
This is a multigeneration Watts institution. Can one really be an Angeleno until they've had Hawkins?
