They say that breakfast is the most important meal, but we'd like to challenge that assertion. In the spirit of starting the day with enough decadence and booze to last you through nighttime, L.A. Weekly has replaced our annual Pancake Breakfast with an entirely new event — complete with ponies and all.

Behold: Brunch at the Races, happening Sunday, Oct. 18, where you can eat some of the city's most delectable brunch dishes and drink some of its finest brunch cocktails from more than 30 restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and more. Oh, and, you'll also take in a day of horse races at the legendary Santa Anita Park.

The final restaurant lineup has just been announced, and it includes some of the city's most loved diners and breakfast spots, like Du-par's, Fred 62, Auntie Em's Kitchen, Myke's Cafe, Cindy's Eaglerock Restaurant, Poppy + Rose, Nickel Diner, Superba Food + Bread, Sweet Butter Kitchen and Goldie's. Restaurants rounding out the lineup are eateries that are redefining what brunch means, including: 10e, Abigaile, Bierbeisl Imbiss, The Blue Owl, Chago Ahogadas, DTLA Cheese, Flores + Sons, Chef Johnny Lee, Little Dom's, Sonny's Hideaway and Sticky Rice. They will all be joined by coffee from shops like Go Get Em Tiger and Jones Coffee Roasters, ice cream from creameries like McConnell's and beer from Stella Artois.

Tickets are $45 for general admission and $65 for VIP, which includes access to the VIP lounge. Click here to purchase (a limited number of VIP tickets are left.) All tickets include unlimited food and drink, plus a day's admission to Santa Anita Park.

Brunch at the Races takes place Sunday, Oct. 18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia.
