Filmmakers worldwide dream of working with Netflix, the powerhouse of streaming services, to bring their movies and television shows to life. Making a movie with them is a great way to share your work with the world and launch a career. Filmmaker Piran Tarapore shares details about his upcoming series with Netflix.

Netflix chose Piran Tarapore because of his excellent filmmaking skills, talent, and unparalleled passion. He came into the opportunity to work with the streaming platform in early 2020. “Working with Netflix is a dream come true,” Piran said. “I can’t share a lot of information about the project yet, as it’s strictly confidential and details of the project are being etched out. However, it is a television show with a Bollywood influence that will be enjoyed throughout the world.” The title hasn’t been revealed for the series, but more information should be available in the coming months, and Piran is busy shaping his latest masterpiece.

Tarapore has worked on the casting and AD teams for many Hindi films, including Dream Girl and Mission Mangal, and recently released his first short film Maya in 2019. The film is about mental health, highlighting dissociative personality disorder, which affects up to one in four people. Bringing attention to mental health conditions is something that Piran Tarapore considers essential. Maya was released on YouTube to much acclaim. “I loved working on that movie,” Tarapore said. “It really prepared me for working on this Netflix project.”

He realized his passion for filmmaking early in life. At a young age, he made connections with many people working on Bollywood films. He worked with acclaimed directors on their projects. “I want to create sensational films that tell a powerful story and move people to their core. Filmmaking is my true passion, and I’m so excited to explore it further with the upcoming TV show.”

Though the exact release date has not been finalized, Piran is busy working out his series’ details with Netflix. Piran is sure to wow audiences across the globe as he continues to make waves in the film industry.
