Part of the Women to the Polls: A Suffrage Film Festival, UCLA Film & Television Archive, The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles and The Wonderful Company will be presenting a free screening of The Bostonians along with an in-person Q&A with top female historians and authors, including Lois Banner, professor emerita of history at USC and Brenda Stevenson, UCLA professor of history. Based on the 1886 novel by Henry James, The Bostonians centers around the culture surrounding women’s rights in the U.S. during the late-19th century.

UCLA’s Billy Wilder Theater, 10899 Wilshire Blvd., Westwood; Bostonians screens on Sat., March 15, 1 p.m.; festival runs through March 29. All events are free. (310) 206-8013, cinema.ucla.edu.
