One person was killed in a 9 car crash that might have involved both street racing and a shooting.

Yep.

As many as four others, possibly including a bicyclist, appeared to have been injured in the collision at Broadway and Manchester Avenue, according to police and reports:

CBS Los Angeles said one of the vehicles might have been headed the wrong way down Broadway when it collided with other cars and set off a chain reaction.

Imagery from the scene showed a Pontiac sedan in flames and cars and a bike strewn around the street as onlookers gawked.

Police were exploring the possibility that a car fleeing a nearby shooting at 79th and Hoover streets might have been the spark for the major crash.

It happened at 7:50 p.m., according to the LAPD. Officer Christopher No told City News Service:

It may have been caused by a car fleeing from an earlier shooting in 77th Street Division.

One man died at the scene of the crash and three others were hospitalized, according to the L.A. Fire Department. One person declined to be taken to a hospital, the LAFD's Brian Humphrey said.

It wasn't clear if someone was injured in the shooting. The collision was still under investigation.
