Hit-And-Run Victim on Pico Rivera, Identified by Authorities

PICO RIVERA, CA (April 22, 2021) – Saturday night, authorities identified the hit-and-run victim as 29-year-old Fernie Lopez.

According to deputies, the crash occurred at the 9000 block of Reichling Lane around 6:30 P.M.

Per reports, Lopez was seen talking with the occupants of a dark colored Chevrolet Suburban when suddenly the driver struck him. Immediately following the impact, the driver fled the scene leaving Lopez with serious injuries.

Paramedics arrived to the scene and performed life saving measures in attempt to save Lopez. However, due to the extent of his condition, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
