21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dead after Colliding with Vehicle

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 17, 2023) – Monday night, police responded to a motorcycle-vehicle crash that claimed the life of Fernando Farfan-Zamora.

The deadly collision occurred on July 10th just before 9:40 p.m. on Owens Avenue and Lamont Street, just west of Nellis Boulevard.

According to the authorities, a 2013 Yamaha YZR-R6 driven by 21-year-old Farfan-Zamora and a 2014 Nissan Altima were involved.

In addition, the Nissan was occupied by a 27-year-old driver with three passengers including a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl.

Furthermore, the police determined that Farfan-Zamora was traveling west on Owens Avenue at high speed.

As a result, he crashed into the Nissan that was pulling out of a private drive.

Consequently, the driver of the Nissan suffered significant injuries and was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition.

Unfortunately, the impact of the collision left Farfan-Zamora with extreme injuries which later led to his death.

Meanwhile, the Nissan driver was assessed and he was determined to be impaired. The three passengers suffered minor injuries, police added.

Also, both lanes on Owens Avenue at Lamont Street were blocked during the length of the incident.

At this time, the cause of the death of Farfan-Zamora was not yet released and an active investigation is underway.
