A second night of protests over the decision by a grand jury not to indict an officer in the shooting of an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Mo. saw demonstrators block the 101 freeway downtown tonight.

California Highway Patrol officers moved in to disperse the crowd shortly after 9 p.m. The group seems to have broken off from protesters who stood outside Los Angeles Police Department headquarters at First and Main streets downtown.
Demonstrators allegedly threw barricades and other items onto the freeway from the Grand Avenue bridge in order to stop traffic before trickling into lanes.

It was reported that the demonstrators marched the 8 miles or so from Leimert Park to downtown tonight.
Outside LAPD headquarters some rocks and bottles were thrown, and a frozen bottle of water reportedly hit an officer.

So far only a few arrests have been reported. KCAL channel 9 has live coverage of the events now.

LAPD Officer Christopher No told us that no one has been officially arrested—yet. He said there have been a few people “detained.”
He confirmed that an officer is believed to have sustained minor injuries when a frozen water bottle was thrown at his or her head during the downtown protest tonight.
A group of demonstrators moved to Cesar Chavez and Grand avenues and blocked that intersection. Some taunted drivers.
UPDATE at 1:30 p.m., Nov. 26, 2014: The LAPD tells us there were 183 arrests overnight, including 167 people who were collared for allegedly disturbing the peace, 15 juveniles who were cited for suspicion of violating curfew, and one person arrested for alleged battery (the suspected bottle thrower).
On top of that the CHP reportedly took nine people into custody after they allegedly blocked the 101.
