Female-Run I Stand With My Pack Looks to Change Animal Care in Los Angeles

Animal care providers in Los Angeles are facing a major crisis with overcrowded shelters and a lack of funding and manpower. With many dogs being abandoned and dumped and owners struggling to afford necessary veterinary treatment, it’s a problem that seems to be spiraling out of control. But one brand is rising to the challenge and making a real impact, I Stand With My Pack. This all-female-run organization is dedicated to helping dogs in need, often taking on the high medical cases that other shelters and rescues can’t handle. With a vast network of advocates and volunteers, they’re making a difference, but they need the community’s help to do even more.

At the heart of I Stand With My Pack is a belief that animals can teach us about unconditional love and that by connecting with them, we can make the world a better place for everyone. The I Stand With My Pack team has found that if you take an abused, malnourished dog and give it care and love, what you receive in return is always tenfold what you gave them.Screenshot 2023 02 19 at 11.03.42 AM

The organization takes in high-medical need dogs from shelters and other rescues that can’t provide the necessary care and is working hard to change the circumstances that lead to the high numbers of abandoned dogs in the city. I Stand With My Pack calls on the community to help make a difference not just by donating money but by fostering dogs or volunteering at shelters. They believe that by coming together, they can create a better future for dogs in need in LA.

I Stand With My Pack’s work has earned recognition from the wider public, celebrities, and animal industry media, but their biggest achievement is their community. With over 2000 rescued animals to date, the organization couldn’t do it without its dedicated fosters, volunteers, adopters, and donors. When faced with an emergency, their community springs into action, organizing rides to the vet, fostering, and fundraising often in less than an hour. It’s this spirit of cooperation and love that makes I Stand With My Pack stand out.

The organization is dedicated to educating people about the importance of proper animal care and making basic services, like spaying, neutering, and vaccinations, more accessible. They believe this is the key to solving LA’s current animal welfare crisis. And they’re not just talking the talk. They’re walking the walk. They’re always looking for ways to make a difference, whether by meeting people where they are and building from there or by partnering with a women’s home to help teach women how to care for animals and heal themselves at the same time.

In the future, I Stand With My Pack hopes to purchase land and open a non-profit clinic where newly graduated veterinarians can run their clinics without being bogged down by student loan debt. They’re also hoping to run educational classes and basic vet care services to help owners keep their dogs and cats and reduce the number of abandoned animals in the city.

I Stand With My Pack is a powerful example of what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause. Their dedication to improving the lives of animals in LA is an inspiration, and their commitment to education and community outreach is changing how we think about animal care.
