Woman Killed in Bicycle Accident near South Priest Drive

TEMPE, AZ (February 15, 2022) – Late Thursday afternoon, a woman was fatally injured in a deadly bicycle collision on 10th Place.

Around 4:40 p.m., police responded to the scene near University and Priest Drive. According to reports, the driver of a truck struck the woman near the intersection.

Paramedics arrived and transported the injured bicyclist to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries. Although, the identity of the woman remains withheld.

In addition, the driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Investigators believed that impairment was not a factor in the crash. However, charges against the truck driver are still pending as the investigation continues.
