The Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to an alleged hijacking of a Delta flight out of LAX, Friday.

Delta flight 386 was bound for Nashville, Tennessee when the alleged suspect attempted to make his way into the plane’s cockpit.

Passenger videos on social media showed flight attendants tackling and grounding the suspect, before tying his limbs with what appeared to be heavy duty zip ties.

The plane was diverted to Albuquerque International Sunport for an emergency landing, where officials said, “There is not threat to the public at this time.”

After the 2:20 p.m. landing, the suspect was arrested and turned over to the FBI and his name has not yet been released.

“Thanks to the crew and passengers of Delta Flight 386… who assisted in detaining an unruly passenger as the flight diverted to Albuquerque, the aircraft landed without incident and the passenger was removed by law enforcement,” Delta said in a statement. “We apologize to our customers for the delay any additional inconvenience.”

A passenger on the flight tweeted out a photo of one of the flight attendants after the incident, saying, “This man needs an award.. just saved the plane. LA flight to Nashville.”
