Box Truck Crash near Oakville Cross Road Left One Man Dead

NAPA COUNTY, CA (October 17, 2022) – Late Wednesday morning, a truck collision on Silverado Trail claimed the life of Colin Albert Erickson

The fatal collision happened just before 11:45 a.m. near 7870 Silverado Trail in Oakville. 

According to the investigation, a box truck was slowing to make a turn when the pickup truck rear-ended it near the intersection of Oakville Cross Road and Skellenger Lane. The impact of the collision left the driver of the pickup with serious injuries.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the driver of the pickup, later identified as 83-year-old Erickson from Angwin, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the box truck remained unharmed.
