One Dead after Fiery Big-Rig Collision near Mile Marker 106

LOVELOCK, NV (August 12, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, one victim was pronounced dead after a fatal semi-truck accident on Interstate 80.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m., near mile marker 106 on August 2nd.

According to reports, a semi-truck driver lost control and went off the bridge for reasons unknown. As a result, the truck landed on the ground below, bursting into flames.

Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced one victim dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but have since been reopened.
