Pedestrian Killed in Deadly Semi-Truck Collision in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ (September 13, 2021) – Early Tuesday morning, one unidentified person died after a deadly pedestrian crash on Loop 101.

The incident took place at around 3:40 a.m., on September 7th on Loop 101 at milepoint 55 near Price and Baseline Road.

According to the Department of Public Safety, a semi-truck fatally struck a pedestrian. However, the events leading up remain unclear.

Meanwhile, the identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

At this time, there is no further information about the pedestrian crash on Loop 101.

In the meantime, the incident is being investigated.
