64-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Collision on South Rainbow Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (February 15, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on West Tropicana Avenue.

The crash happened around 11:11 a.m., on February 2. First responders arrived to the scene near South Rainbow Boulevard, shortly after.

According to reports, the driver of a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 was traveling east on the road when they struck the male pedestrian.

Paramedics arrived and eventually transported the injured man to University Medical Center. Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the 64-year-old pedestrian dead at the hospital.

Additionally, the GMC driver did not sustain any injuries. Following preliminary investigations, authorities determined that the driver showed no signs of intoxication.

At this time, further circumstances surrounding the crash are still currently under active investigation.
