One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near Val Vista Drive

MESA, AZ (August 7, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, one victim was killed in a fatal multi-vehicle collision on U.S. 60. Police responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Val Vista Drive on August 1st. At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that multiple vehicles were involved. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced one person dead at the scene.
