Homeland Fiery Collision Results in One Fatality

HOMELAND, CA (August 26, 2021) – Early Monday morning, a driver was killed in a fatal fiery crash on State Route 74 in Homeland.

The deadly incident occurred around 1:00 a.m., on the westbound lanes near Green Avenue, according to CHP.

Later on, investigators determined that the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro struck a barrier while going through a construction zone at a high rate of speed.

As a result, the Camaro flipped and struck a utility pole, igniting the car on fire.

Shortly after, first responders pronounced the 20-year-old driver from Perris, dead at the scene.

Homeland Officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fiery crash on State Route 74.

At this time, the identity of the deceased driver remains unavailable.
