Unidentified Victim Killed in Auto Collision on San Miguel Canyon Road

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (May 25, 2022) – Friday night, one victim was pronounced dead after a a fatal car accident on Strawberry Road.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m., near San Miguel Canyon Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

For unknown reasons, the driver of a vehicle lost control and veered off the road before striking a tree. Responding officers found one person dead at the scene.

Authorities withheld the name of the deceased victim pending notification of next of kin.

At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway. Monterey County police will issue updates as they become available.
