1 Killed in Deadly Auto Collision near 57 Freeway in Diamond Bar

DIAMOND BAR, CA (January 21, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, one person was killed in a fatal car accident on 60 Freeway.

Officers responded to the scene around 1:07 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of Pomona (60) Freeway near the northbound Orange (57) Freeway exchange.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, emergency responders arrived and pronounced one victim dead at the scene.

At this time, the identity of the deceased person remains unavailable pending notification from next of kin. In addition, officials closed the transition road between the two freeways and reopened them around 7:20 a.m.

Diamond Bar Officials are still currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
