For spring, Amelia Toro is doing flowing dresses with butterfly prints and clean, white ankle-length dresses that look like night gowns. Her models walked the catwalk with birds in little cages and birds in their hair. Femininity is back in a big way. Toro did sweet, candy-striped jackets with black piping. The whole affair was sort of tropical, nature-fantasy-esque.

At her show, I sat in the second row behind Dean and Davis Factor, the heirs to the Max Factor makeup empire.

(I don't know who this model is, but she looks super cute in this dress.)

(Doesn't this dress look like the wing of a monarch butterfly? Also, that head outline on the right hand side is the back of Dean Factor's head. The Factor brothers own Smashbox Studios.)

(Sweet little jacket. A bit Coney Island candystriper.)
