Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour, our favorite place to eat a 50-scoop sundae served by teenagers in pinstriped vests and fake straw boaters, is expanding. Farrell's yesterday announced it will open two new Southland locations, one in Brea and one in Rancho Cucamonga. The ice cream chain that once boasted locations throughout Southern California before falling victim to changing tastes and poor management is, once again, on the upswing.

Next year, owner Parlour Enterprises plans to open three more locations, reports the OC Register. They're looking at potential locations in Huntington Beach and Portland, Oregon, where the chain was launched in 1963. Eventually (hint, hint), maybe Farrell's will even return to the fair city of Los Angeles.
