Elderly Man Killed in DUI Collision near Garden Grove Avenue

RESEDA, CA (December 16, 2021) – Friday afternoon, Fardeen Khan was arrested after a fatal hit-and-run crash on Saticoy Street.

Officials responded to the incident just after 2:45 p.m., when a white four-door Hyundai Accent struck a pedestrian crossing the street.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the driver did not render aid to the victim and fled before the authorities arrived.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the 85-year-old male pedestrian to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The surrounding area on Saticoy Street was closed for a brief time during preliminary duties, but has since reopened.

Police later located and identified the suspect as Fardeen Khan, and booked him for suspicion of felony hit-and-run.

At this time, authorities continues to investigate the deadly accident. Once available, further details will be provided.
