RADIO BROADCAST #235

09-29-13

Fanatics! This show is so good, I can barely stand it! Take a moment to look over tonight's 31 flavors.

As some of you obviously know, VUM reached their target amount of funds to be raised to press their new album, which we have been playing here. I would like to think that a good part of the funding came from you. Well played, Fanatic, well played. This is what it's all about.

Fanatic, did you notice, more new Fuzz and Melt-Banana? Looks like this coming Tuesday, the album will be out, so one last chance to hear some before it's everywhere. If you are a fan of the band, this is yet another great release of theirs. If you want the clear LP version of the album, you better get on it.

The Julie Ruin show last week was excellent and tonight we rock one of the tracks from their new album Run Fast. Dischord is selling the album from their site, as they did the pressing and distribution on this one. If you can't find it at your local indie record store, Dischord has it.

Fanatic, I have been busy. Busy! Busy putting together great shows for October. I think you're going to like them very much. I wanted to work on all four of them at one time, so there was some continuity running through them. It's been an interesting detail, having all these files open at once. It's a huge bit of canvas I have torn off but I think I am getting good results.

The weather has turned a bit cool, which immediately sends me into Berlin Bowie, Kraftwerk, Neu!, Schnitzler mode as well as early UK Punk Rock. I am trying to keep things balanced as best I can.

I have been getting an unusual amount of spam lately at the show's e-mail address. Someone wants to give me a million bucks. There is always a chance to answer back and I almost always do. I tell them that I have given up on money and I am only in it for the laughs. They don't get back to me after that. Over the last few weeks, it's been nonstop.

We are live this weekend for our extra dreary dead end time slot. I hope you can suffer with us live or check it out on archive when you get a chance.

All the tracks are there for you to see, Fanatic. It's going to be yet another great night of sonic bliss!

Stay loose and STAY FANATIC!!!
