RADIO BROADCAST #274
06 – 29 – 14

Fanatics! We have a tremendous show for you tonight. I am writing you from a van in front of a shoot I have to go in and do only a few minutes from now. Crazy schedule I am dealing with here, so this will have to be brief.

I can't help it, I am loving this show. I have played it through and it is rockin me big time. A great way to start with Pontiak. What a band!

We are happening with the high volume of music and low amount of talking, so tonight's show is packed with boss tunes.

Some familiar, some not. I am damn sorry I don't have time to write more about what we have on for you tonight. I was thinking warm weather when I put all the songs together. For some of you fantastic Australians or New Zealanders listening in, your weather is cooling off, so hang in there the best you can.

Look at all these songs! It's a damn cornucopia!

Much later: Shoot done. Now in a van speeding to NYC.

I just noticed that we have gone for another big DC music jag. I think it was last week or the week before that we did that and we got some nice letters. It's not on purpose that we find all this DC area music with us again, it just kinda happened. I think it may be to do with that I associate so much DC music with hot weather.

I am glad I was afforded some extra time. If ya wanna, you can check out a track from the new J Mascis solo album Tied To a Star. Go to jmascis.com and you can check out the song “Every Morning.” You know me, Fanatic. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM. I advanced ordered my vinyl at Sub Pop. 8/25/14 release.

I am without internet and a couple of hours out of NYC. I will send this from the city. I hope they saved some pizza for me.

Find a slice and STAY FANATIC!!!
