RADIO BROADCAST #383
07–31–16

Fanatic! If you live in Los Angeles, you are simmering as I am. Around 1500 hrs., it is so hot outside, it’s almost funny. You almost have to give into it and just relegate yourself to being sealed in a light coating of your own body salts and look forward to another night of light sleep with dreams that are far more interesting than you have any use for. A cup of coffee at midnight and an hour later, you're playing tennis with Sun Ra.

We have the perfect soundtrack for you here. The evidence is below. When you see Eric Dolphy is on, you know we got something right.

I have been hearing a lot of new music that is coming out soon. Do not miss the new Julie Ruin album, Hit Reset. It’s so great. Thee Oh Sees will rock you next month with A Weird Exits and Dinosaur Jr.’s Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not rolls out in August as well. It’s another great one. There will be a new Ausmuteants album out next month as well. I have not heard a note of it but I bet it will be great. New Lorelle Meets the Obsolete in September as well as Tim Presley’s new one called The Wink. Both of them are great and we will check them out.

By the time this show airs, I will be well into a flight to Germany. My sixth trip to Europe this year. I will be communicating with you from a few different countries over the next several months. Fear not, Fanatic, the tunes will be as good and the enthusiasm and dedication unwavering.

I will be on tour pretty much until mid-January. Los Angeles area types, I will be doing multiple nights at Largo in December. Tickets available now.

Next stop, the Wacken Festival. For overall wellness and feelings of fantasticosity, I suggest you listen to lots of music and STAY FANATIC!!!
