KCRW Broadcast #184 for Saturday, October 6, 2012

Fanatics! Hello from Ohio! Columbus, Ohio, to be exact. I thought it would be a great idea to celebrate some great Ohio bands, Ohio-themed songs and Lenny Bruce talking about Ohio! Hour one is a mix of Ohioness and in hour two, we listen to some rare Cramps tracks until the end of the show.

You Cramps Fanatics know that there are more Cramps demos than what we are playing tonight. I thought it would be cool to check out the excellent All Tore Up bootleg LP. It has come out a few different times. I can't remember when I got mine but when Cramps bootleg LPs started to emerge in the 1980s I picked them up whenever I could. Over the years, there have been some great live Cramps LPs, a few tracks from them are featured at the bottom of the hour.

It's been awhile since I was in Los Angeles. Finally, out here on the road, we are seeing a little autumn weather. It's great to see the leaves turn color and feel the air start to get some crispness to it.

Heads Up Dept.: It looks like December has five Saturdays. I don't know if 89.9 FM KCRW will be open on the 29th. If they are not, we will do a download show for you. I have a great concept for these five Saturdays that I will lay on you in a few weeks. I think you are really going to dig this one.

Ok. I will leave you to it, Fanatic. I hope you enjoy this show. I have played it a few times from top to bottom and I think we have another great night of listening.

Until next week, get Cramped and STAY FANATIC!!! –Henry
