See also: Henry Rollins: The Column! Happy Birthday Iggy Pop! Your Biggest Fan, Henry

Fanatics! Hello from Melbourne, Australia! Tonight's show is a very special one. Today, one Iggy Pop turns 65 years old. There is no better way we can say happy birthday to the man than to let the music play, so that is what we are going to do.

We are going to go at it somewhat chronologically, although I may have a couple of songs out of order on that front but by and large, it's a trip through the man's catalog. Two hours isn't enough time to be completely release-by-release, so I went for what I thought sounded good.

At this point, I don't think any of you Fanatics needs any introduction to Iggy but if any of these tracks grabs you, all the source material is pretty easy to locate. I don't know how available the soundtrack material is in our second hour but I don't think it will escape you for long if you look around. All in all, a great night of Iggy in a few of his phases. I really like that duet with Debbie Harry, very cool.

I have been in Australia for a few days now and will be heading out the door of the hotel in a few minutes to the venue, where soon, I will be hitting stage for night three of a four show run here. I have a lot more shows to go here in Australia before I head over to South Africa.

I was in Vicious Sloth Records yesterday and picked up a lot of singles and albums by local bands, most of them I had never heard of but they were great and I couldn't leave without them. I will have to do a lot of analog to digital to get them ready for our show but I will do it when I can and we will have some really happening music to check out from this trip in the weeks to come.

Remember, next week is our great Heavy Blanket album premier. I don't know if I told you this but there is a new J Mascis project called Heavy Blanket. The album comes out in early May but we are going to unleash the whole thing in its entirety next week in the second hour. It's a great album and I think you're going to dig it. Not bad getting to have it on the show so early.

As it is right now, you have a lot of Mr. Pop to deal with so get ready, get set and STAY FANATIC!!! –Henry
