RADIO BROADCAST #277
07–20–14

Fanatics! Thank you so much for checking out these notes. Before anything, I hope you are digging the summer, or whatever weather you're in and that these amazing songs we have lined up for you are just what you need.

A few highlights to note. The Calico Wall track in the first hour is a real gem. I don't know anything about them but what a track. Also, check the alt. Bowie track. I bought this bootleg CD in New York some time in the last century and it's a real find. I know there are some hardcore Bowie collectors out there. I wish I knew more about the rarer stuff because if there are more outtakes as interesting as the one we are playing tonight, I really want to hear them.

Not meaning to make you angry or anxious but I have had the opportunity to listen to the Sunn 0))) / Scott Walker collaboration. It's really great. It's in a way, kinda what I thought it was going to be but there are many moments when band and man really take it to some interesting places. We will be getting into this one as soon as we get the promo copy and go ahead to unleash it. I am in touch with their press person and will hopefully be kept in the loop. If you are a fan of either or both of these forces of nature, you will be pleased.

I am so jammed with the television show that I have no time to make it to any shows. I did get at least ten records listened to yesterday, which was amazing.

Pine Smoke Lodge – Haligdaeg CD

Boris – Noise CD

Lorelle Meets the Obsolete – Corruptible Faces LP

Chain and the Gang – Minimum Rock n Roll LP

Alligator Crystal Moth – Magic Swamp Kingdom CD

Aquarelle – August Undone LP

Midwich – Inertia Crocodile CD

Lorelle Meets the Obsolete – On Welfare LP

Scott Walker / Sunn 0)))

Hedersleben 2 – Die Nuen Welten CD

Also, this is happening early next month: Omar Souleyman in Conversation with Henry Rollins at the Grammy Museum

I look forward to meeting the man.

Fanatics, I don't think you need me to tell you about music but I would like to say, I think we have assembled a bodacious assortment of tunes for your enjoyment. That is what it's all about.

Stay loud and STAY FANATIC!!!
