Leaving your family business to step into showbiz is a risky journey. Still, many put their careers at stake to get a chance on the big screen, to relish the charms of Hollywood. However, only a handful of them succeed in making the breakthrough of a lifetime. One such example is John D Hickman, who left behind his decades-old family business and a six-figure corporate job to try his luck in the star-studded life of Hollywood.
John Hickman is a rising star in the film industry, known for his roles in quality productions alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names. He has recently starred in “The Informer” opposite Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, and Common, and in “Jiu Jitsu” alongside Nicolas Cage. He has also played opposite Bruce Willis in many films, including his latest, “Fortress,” and a newly confirmed role that has recently been released.
On TV, John has also made a name for himself, known for his role as Phil Wilson in the TV movie, “A Christmas Arrangement,” on Lifetime Networks and for starring in “Sweet Navidad” and “Christmas Sweethearts” TV movies.
Fans of John’s work will be excited to hear that he has two new movies to be released in 2022. The first is “The Wire Room,” an action-packed rated R thriller that runs for 1 hour and 36 minutes. The movie was filmed in the United States and released on September 23, 2022. John played the role of Jerry opposite Bruce Willis.
“The Wire Room” was initially released in theaters, distributed by Lionsgate Films, and is now available on Apple TV, Redbox, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Movies. The second movie is called “Wrong Place,” in which John Travolta plays the role of Jerry opposite Bruce Willis. The film was initially released at the box office on July 15, 2022, and distributed by Vertical Entertainment.
“Wrong Place” is an action-crime-thriller directed by Mike Burns. The story revolves around a methamphetamines cook hunting down the former police chief of a small town to silence him before he can deliver eyewitness testimony against his family; however, he ultimately finds himself up against more than he had bargained for.
John’s talent and hard work have made him a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. Fans can expect to see a lot more of him in the future. As confirmed on IMDB, John will be starring in 4 other feature films in the future, 3 of which are in post-production status for 2023.
