But seriously, L.A. is poseurtown, and perhaps there's no better proof than U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intercepting a shipment of fake watches from China at LAX this month:
CPB officials announced this week that they seized 215 counterfeit Rolex, Omega, Cartier and Louis Vuitton watches that arrived Aug. 8 from China via air cargo.
If the timepieces were real they could have been worth $1,250,500, officials said. As is? Buck, buck fifty. (We kid). The declared value was actually $173, the CPB stated. Sounds about right.

This seizure of these trade-marked watches is testament to our officers' vigilance in protecting the intellectual property rights of manufacturers and retailers. It is just another example of the caliber of the CBP officers in performing their day-to-day duties.
Yes. Salute the CPB for keeping Angeleno women, in particular, just a little bit safer from nightlife douches.
Somewhere in L.A. tonight there will be a guy who looks like Macklemore. And his wrist will be bare. Sad.
