We're suckers for musicians who incorporate cool visuals into their work. Local producer/singer Jaymie Valentine has done just that with her project Cindergarden. Valentine's music combines soaring vocals and strange fairytale industrial sounds. Her latest album, Grim Confections, is recommended for fans of darkwave bands like Switchblade Symphony and Collide and J-goth along the lines of Seileen.

To keep the theme running through the entire presentation of Grim Confections, Valentine launched a whimsical new website featuring the photography of Marianne Williams and worked with artist Allison Meierding on the CD cover.

Tomorrow night, Valentine will be celebrating her album release at North Hollywood's Hyaena Gallery with a one-night art show featuring the work of Meierding and Christy Kane. There will also be a performance from The Art of Bleeding.
