Laker legend James Worthy will be the featured guest at a special luncheon on Monday, May 17th at Morton's The Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Since the Lakers finally seem to be playing like defending champions, there's still a good chance that they won't be eliminated by then, and Worthy won't have to answer questions like “Why do the Lakers suck so much?” The 11:30 lunch will include three courses, and feature the Hall of Fame forward being interviewed by ESPN Radio hosts Andrew Siciliano and Mychal Thompson.

James Worthy, who almost managed to make goggles cool, played all 12 years of his NBA career for the Lakers, winning three championships, one Finals MVP Award and in 1996, was selected as one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.

Monday, May 17th, 11:30 a.m. The lunch costs $50 per person, with reservations required.Morton's The Steakhouse: 435 S. LaCienega Blvd., Beverly Hills, (310)-246-1501.
