Hit-and-Run on G Street Injures 26-year-old

MERCED, CA (December 1, 2021) Fabian Torres is in police custody after a hit and run last Wednesday that left one person hospitalized.

Authorities said they responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on 3400 block of G Street.

The incident inflicted major injuries on a 26-year-old who police has yet to identify publicly. He was sent to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Officers identified the suspect as 20-year-old Fabian Torres. They were able to locate his hit and run vehicle, upon which he was taken into custody for investigation.

The victim has two broken legs and remains in serious but stable condition at this time, according to reports.
