Ziwan Li’s creative ability continues to gain recognition on worldwide stages, with her recent work, “Balhae”, earning the 2024 A’Design Award and also the Asian Youth Rookie Award, standing as a testament to her artistic excellence. In 2023, one of Ziwan Li’s works garnered an award from the Japan Illustrators’ Association, a platform tailored specifically for illustrators renowned for its professionalism. Initially limited to Japan, the competition has since embraced participants from around the globe. The winning illustration, completed in less than a week, encapsulated elements of Chengdu and Chongqing’s cultural and environmental heritage, including bamboo, golden monkeys, pandas, red-hot pot ingredients, the Liberation Monument, and the Leshan Giant Buddha. This fusion of cultural and environmental motifs underscores Li’s ability to capture the essence of a region within her artwork. Through her artwork, Li aptly captures the essence of each city, infusing her creations with vibrant energy and cultural resonance. Following her award-winning success last year, Li was honored with an invitation to serve as a judge in this year’s competition.
