Last year, costumed revelers partying throughout the streets of downtown had to brave the cold to enjoy the city's best-organized chaos of art and music, but this year Lucent L'Amour takes it inside so frostbite won't prevent your fingers from dipping into the live mural paint, or your ears from taking in the fierce onslaught of sensational sounds. Presented by show-masters extraordinaire, Do LaB, this year's Mardi Gras-like carnival is themed “A Visionary Love Fest,” and a splendid time is guaranteed for all. More than 100 artists, musicians and performers come together for this all-night party of outrageous creativity with art installations, bars, freaky circus acts, interactive shenanigans, a silent auction, and video and live music performances from Bassnectar, N.A.S.A., Stanton Warriors, Yard Dogs Road Show and Lucent Dossier Experience. If you don't have a honey, it's the perfect place to hang and hook up. Let's hope that last year's fave booth, the Hug Deli, is up and running.
