After generating all kinds of buzz with their debut EP Simple, L.A.-based rockers Nightmare and the Cat are gearing up for the release of their debut album of the same name. Due out July 22 on Capitol Records, the Simple album further establishes brothers Django (vocals) and Samuel Stewart (guitars) as two of the most exciting new talents in modern rock.

While preparing for their album release show at the Roxy on July 23, Nightmare and the Cat shot a studio performance video for Simple highlight “Alvarado.” Filmed at Barefoot Studios in Hollywood and directed by Possum Hill, it showcases the Stewart brothers' sinewy charisma and their chemistry with bandmates Clair Acey (guitar, backing vocals), Spike Phillips (drums) and Scott Henson (bass).

Nightmare and the Cat play the Roxy on Wednesday, July 23.
