L.A.'s biggest rap battle event of the year arrives on June 28 at Los Globos – King of the Dot's Battle of Los Angeles 5 (also known as BOLA 5).

Dizaster
vs.
Math Hoffa

The two most controversial names in battle rap will collide in BOLA 5's main even. Los Angeles legend Dizaster takes on the unhinged and very physical Math Hoffa, who hails from Brooklyn. Both men are absolute battle rap titans, and we've been toldextra security will be on-hand to ensure the event's safety.

Daylyt
vs.
Charlie Clips

Watts' Daylyt and Harlem's Charlie Clips are MCs who are as authentic as they are eccentric. Both are crowd favorites whose battles are known for the unexpected.

Aye Verb
vs.
Illmaculate

These are two veteran juggernauts who, after some rough years, are on the comeback trail. Either Portland's Illmaculate or St. Louis' Aye Verb will show they still have it in the battle rap game.

Dirtbag Dan and Caustic
vs.
Marlo and Shuffle T

It will be an international incident as California based rappers Dirtbag Dan and Caustic take on British favorites Marlo and Shuffle T. The 2-on-2 format is due for a resurgence in battle rap, and these formidable duos could be the ones for it.

Chilla Jones
vs.
Real Deal

Fans of Pittsburgh battle vet Real Deal have been underwhelmed by his recent opponents, but he'll have his hands full with Boston show-and-prover Chilla Jones. They should bring out the best in each other.

Head I.C.E.
vs.
The Deadman

Harlem's charismatic showman Head I.C.E. will take on Los Angeles' Deadman, who's known for crowd-friendly performances. Something of a clash between the old school and new school, this battle will determine who freaks their style the best.

Rum Nitty
vs.
O Red

After years of battling, O Red's 2013 finally put him on the map, but the New Jersey native's buzz will be put to the test in his King of the Dot debut against Phoenix's Rum Nitty. Don't expect much finesse here – the MCs' brutal confrontational styles should show what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object.

Bigg K
.
Hot off the heels of his battle with Illmaculate, which fans consider one of the best of 2013, Norfolk, Virginia's Bigg K takes on relative-newcomer to KOTD Danny Myers, whose recent bout with Rum Nitty many also consider to be among last year's best.
