Multi-instrumentalist L.A. beat scene genius Asura has teamed up with local harp-playing folkie Ana Caravelle for a spooky reworking of her track, “Blackberries.”

The two are part of the Non Projects label, an Alpha Pup subsidiary specializing in electronic-oriented artists with backgrounds in classical composition.

Asura and Ana Caravelle are also performing a live set together on Sunday, September 26, at the Downtown Independent theater. (And the two have recorded together before.)

The show, which aims to take advantage of both the theater's wicked sub-woofers and its big screen, will be headlined by buzzing London producer Mount Kimbie, and rounded out by sets from Shlohmo, Strangeloop, Low Limit (of Lazer Sword) and others.
