Cats french kissing, two grown men spazzing out in red jumpsuits, and an old-school fax machine flying in outer space- and that was just the intro to Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!. The Adult Swim comedy show, mentally warped brainchild of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, was so weird you had to be a little wacked yourself to find it funny.

Some of the best sketches were the songs (“Doo Dah Doo Doo!”), and in typical Tim and Eric fashion, they turned one of our favorite bits into a full-blown Michael McDonald-esque track.

That seems to be the inspiration behind Heidecker & Wood. Tim, along with Tim and Eric composer Davin Wood, are releasing a real-live album (Starting from Nowhere) on a real-live label (Little Record Company). The singles released so far are riffs on '70s makin' love, nah-nah-nahing, multi-harmonied power pop- “A Christmas Suite” hilariously crescendos into, “Children are the key to the universe!”

Heidecker & Wood play their record release show (and their first show ever!) on Wed. April 27th at Largo at the Coronet.

We alone have the next single, “Desert Island,” right here. It's shiny, shiny, shiny like a choo-choo!:
