Everybody loves a live magic show, right? No? True. some people (hi, honey!) cringe at the idea of a guy in a cheap tuxedo making dingy fake flowers appear out of nowhere. Lou Serrano's not that kind of magician. Rather soft spoken and Martin Short-cute, he has the hands of a delicate artist, making coins, cards and that ring you're wearing do amazing things. Serrano debuts his new show, An Evening of Elegant Magic With Lou Serrano, in an intimate, tiered-seating setting for just 46 people. He's created some new routines, including one called “Magic Square.” “Magic Squares have fascinated people for centuries dating back over 4,000 years,” he says. “In my presentation I ask a member of the audience to merely think of a number between 34 and 100, and within seconds I'm able to divine the number in a way that will amaze even the most jaded of spectators. I'll also be presenting some routines that have garnered accolades from magicians from all over the world. This will be the first time I'll be presenting these routines outside of he Magic Castle.” Ramsey's the Club, 6711 Forest Lawn Dr., Toluca Lake; Sun., Nov. 20, 8 p.m.; $85, includes appetizer buffet.
