When we talk about La Inedita, we are talking about a Peruvian band, which was formed in Lima in 2010. What makes this band so unique is the music mix of dancehall, hip hop, rapping and Chicha (a Peruvian cumbia style). The way the band members got together was not a common way, they were not friends or neighbors as it is the case of most bands. They somehow found out about each other’s musical skills through an internet network of friends. They got together just to jam and have fun. Although, after their very first jamming session the sense of blending different music styles and come up with a music fusion was present. This is how they came up with Chichamuffin, the music style they named after they mixed the Chicha with ragamuffin. Soon enough, the band began to play in many scenarios of Barranco and Downtown Lima. The band gained a lot of recognition and love by the audience, so they have also been called to play in a variety of music festivals, college campus celebrations and so on. Therefore, La Inedita obtained the opportunity to share stage with well-known Peruvian bands, such as: La Sarita, Bareto, La Mente, Sabor y Control, Vieja Skina, etc. The band has recently released their album “Chichamuffin”, which is available to listen online.
