“INGREDIENTES” -- A Collaborative Performance Project uniting three Mexican American Choreographers
The Bootleg Theater and BlakTinx Dance Festival features the original works of BLAKTINX Alumni choreographers — Joshua Estrada-Romero/FUSE, Andrea Ordaz, and Alan Perez. The alumni concert draws from past BlakTinx dance festivals and allows for dance makers to further explore artistry and choreographic risk. This year’s theme pays homage to all three choreographer’s ethnic roots as Mexican Americans. Each choreographer brings to life artistic visions through their unique and individual movement style. The mixture of their cultural identity comes together with the Latinx/o/a and LGBTQ community. “For Our Existence” (Perez), “Beyond the Body” (FUSE), and “Agave Americana” (Ordaz) are the original works that combine together as different substances to form a delicious and vigorously vibrant evening of dance in LA!
