Calendar: Danny McGaw and The 33 live at The Mint

August 16, 2019

10:00 P.M.

Anthemic Folk band Danny McGaw and The 33, from Ojai, make their first appearance at The Mint 8/16.

Danny McGaw, a Salford-born songwriter who began playing music at age 11, began his career as a pro soccer player in the north of England before migrating to the States and turning to music.

Upon landing in Ojai in 2015, Danny found kindred spirits in this creative community. Tim Arlon, another British ex-pat, brought piano, harmonies and a rare chemistry to Danny’s live shows. With the addition of Matt Cheadle’s (another Brit!) inventive guitar playing, the uplifting energy of Grammy-winner Tim Hutton on bass, and Greg Weiser’s drumming to lock them all down, Danny McGaw and the 33 has become the most energized expression of Danny’s music to date.

Check out Danny McGaw and the 33 August 16 at the Mint for just $12 — you’ll leave energized and inspired by Danny and the 33’s anthemic folk rock.
